Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern access to SMS - School Management Software. By using SMS, an authorised user accepts these Terms and the applicable licence or order agreement between the school and the SMS provider.

Definitions
SMS means the school management software, its mobile applications and related documentation. A School means the educational institution or education group authorised to use SMS. A User means a teacher, administrator, parent, student or other person authorised by a School.
Authorised access
Schools create and administer user accounts. Users must protect their credentials, use SMS only for authorised educational or administrative purposes and comply with school policies and applicable law. Schools remain responsible for supervising student access.
Licence and deployment
The scope of the self-hosted lifetime licence, implementation services, support and any optional services is defined in the accepted commercial agreement. Except where that agreement expressly permits it, Users may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, circumvent security controls or make SMS available to unauthorised third parties.
Data and privacy
Schools retain responsibility for the data they place in SMS and for their privacy notices, legal bases and user permissions. The handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the applicable agreement.
Implementation, updates and compatibility
A self-hosted deployment requires an environment that meets the agreed technical requirements. The School is responsible for its local infrastructure unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. Updates may introduce security fixes, improvements or compatibility changes and should be applied in accordance with the agreed implementation or support process.
Third-party services
SMS may be configured to work with services selected by the School, such as email delivery, storage, payment or push-notification providers. The School is responsible for its agreements, credentials, permissions and configuration for those third-party services unless the applicable agreement says otherwise.
Availability and support
The School controls the availability of a self-hosted environment, including hosting, connectivity, backups and local administration. Planned maintenance and updates may temporarily affect availability. Any support commitment is defined by the applicable agreement.
Acceptable use
Users must not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content, interfere with the operation of SMS, attempt unauthorised access or use the system in a way that could harm the School, other Users or third parties.
Intellectual property
SMS, its software, branding, documentation and associated materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No ownership is transferred except for the rights expressly granted in the applicable licence.
Liability and termination
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SMS is provided subject to the limitations and remedies stated in the applicable agreement. A School may lose access where use materially breaches that agreement or applicable law. Data export, transition and termination arrangements are governed by the applicable agreement.
No implied promises
Except for commitments expressly stated in the applicable agreement, SMS is provided without implied guarantees that it will meet every School-specific requirement or operate without interruption. The School should maintain appropriate local backups, access controls and operational procedures for its deployment.
Changes and contact
These Terms may be updated to reflect product, legal or operational changes. Continued use after publication of an update means acceptance where permitted by law. For questions, contact the SMS team through the website contact form.
